What this site is

Cyber Security News publishes cybersecurity news to make people aware of threats, vulnerabilities, breaches and the defences against them. Reading it requires no account, no registration and no personal data.

No cookies, no tracking

Reading this site sets no cookie in your browser: no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, nothing. There are no tracking scripts, no fingerprinting, no social-media buttons that report back and no third-party analytics. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

What is technically processed

Like every website, the web server writes standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, time, browser type) so that the site can be kept secure and working. They are rotated automatically by the hosting provider and are never used to identify or profile readers. To show "most read" lists we count how often an article is opened; the count stores the article and the day only, never who opened it.

If you write to us

If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are kept only until the matter is dealt with, then deleted. They are used to answer you and for nothing else, and are never shared or sold.

Links to other sites

Every summary links to the publication that reported the story first. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy practices apply.

Your rights

Under Swiss and EU data protection law you can ask what data we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Use the contact form. Since we keep almost nothing, the answer is usually short.
